Construction phase 1

In the first phase of work until the end of February 2021, work will be carried out exclusively during five nights a week during the break in operation of the trains. The work will be carried out from two construction trains.

The main work is systematic cutting and mechanical removal to eliminate sub-profile areas, as well as anchoring work to secure the brick vaulting before the step-by-step removal and replacement.

Construction phase 2

From March 2021, during the complete closure of the entire railway line, the existing vault will be replaced with shotcrete, widened close to the portal by pipe umbrellas and some additional niches will be excavated. The work will last until the end of 2021.
