Scope of the Works
The entire project extends is over 11.6 km and comprises:
- Number of tunnels 9 pcs
- Total length 5.4 km
- Year of construction 1882
- Emergency renovation 2003 / 2004
Work description
The following tunnels were renovated:
- Tunnel Hochfluh 584 m
- Tunnel Franziskus 171 m
- Tunnel Oelberg 1’987 m
- Tunnel Stutzeck 988 m
- Tunnel Tellsplatten 172 m
- Tunnel Axenberg 1’128 m
- Tunnel Sulzegg 128 m
- New and old Gruonbach gallery 98 m
- Self-rescue facility
- Protection tunnel and road overpass on the N4
- Installation sites with partial steel platform above tracks
- Deconstruction of existing roadway (incl. ballast disposal) - Deconstruction and disposal of existing cable ducts and cables.
- Sole sinking
- Abutment underpinning- Upgrade of existing tracks (incl. debris removal)
- Vault restoration with HDW cleaning, 3 layers of fibre rein forced shotcrete
- New primary and secondary drainage
- Niche expansions for technical plants
- Foundations for FL masts and tunnel telecommunica-
tion cabins outside
- Renovation and adaptation of retaining walls, culverts
and bridges
- New cable ducts in all tunnels and railroad tracks
